Northern Health is seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 3 Senior Pharmacist - Cardiology & Intensive Care to join the Pharmacy Department.

About the Pharmacy Department:
The Pharmacy Department operates across five campuses and has a strong vision to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care to our patients. The department comprises over 100 pharmacists and 30 technicians to provide clinical, operational, quality, and informatics services with a strong focus on workforce culture and commitment to professional development.
About the Role:
A full-time, fixed-term contract opportunity exists for a Grade 3 Senior Pharmacist - Cardiology to join the team at Northern Health. This role will require work over 10 days (80 hours) per fortnight - Monday to Friday at the Northern Hospital with potential to work at other sites of Northern Health as required. This position is fixed-term full time until January 2026 - covering maternity leave.
The Senior Pharmacist - Cardiology & Intensive Care has responsibility for the provision of clinical pharmacy services to Northern Health. They will ensure excellence in client care, evidence-based practice, and service improvement and risk management. This role has governance responsibilities for the service including ensuring the competency, credentialing, supervision, and professional development of the pharmacy team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Comprehensive experience as a hospital pharmacist, with minimum 5 years hospital experience
* Clinical experience in surgical or peri-operative services
* Experience which includes leadership responsibility for teams or services
* Experience in supervision and development of staff
* Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Well-developed self-management skills including the ability to meet timelines and prioritise competing demands.
