Check us out – https://anz.swagelok.com/en About your new role A Technician at Swagelok is responsible for fabricating and testing fluid and gas systems. This process involves understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and assembly drawings to build a wide range of assemblies, panels, and systems using Swagelok and third-party components. Understanding P&IDs: Technicians must be able to interpret P&IDs, which are schematic diagrams that illustrate the interconnection of process equipment and instrumentation. This includes understanding symbols, lines, and labels representing different components and their relationships within the system. Interpreting Assembly Drawings: Technicians need to read and understand assembly drawings, which provide detailed instructions on how to assemble various components into a complete system. This includes understanding dimensions, tolerances, and assembly procedures. Assemblies: Technicians build various assemblies, which are collections of components that form a part of a larger system. This may involve assembling valves, fittings, tubing, and other components according to specifications. Panels: Technicians construct panels, which are laser cut sheet metal and connect multiple components. This may involve mounting components, bending tubing and mounting 3rd party components. Systems: Technicians build complete fluid and gas systems, which may involve integrating multiple assemblies and panels. Leak Testing: Technicians perform leak testing to ensure the integrity of the fabricated systems. This may involve using pressure testing methods or leak detection equipment. Functional Testing: Technicians conduct functional testing to verify that the system operates according to design specifications. This may involve testing flow rates, pressure levels, and other parameters. What will make you successful in this role? Ideally, candidates will have a mechanical or electrical trade background or several years of relevant experience. A strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.
