About the role
We have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to be part of our Technology Commandteam. The Systems Administrator supports service delivery to the organisation in the management of IT computer systems.

As the VMware Systems Administrator SME, you will be part of a team supporting NSW Police Force' Virtualisation and Infrastructure. Your role collaborates with internal IT stakeholders within network, security,
storage and applications teams and BAU support. You will provision, configure, manage, monitor and improve the VMware solution across virtual server platforms in on-prem data centres, remotely, and cloud.
This role will:
• Manage, monitor and enhance the performance of VMware based applications running on Windows and Linux
• Configure, upgrade, manage vSphere, ESXi,
• Plan and implement new physical and virtualised systems
• Upgrade, patch and refresh Infrastructure hardware and software
• Use Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to manage replication.
• Use Automation products and tools
• Monitoring using Automation products and tools for both virtual and physical infra
Selection Criteria
5+ Years experience working in a large organisation supporting and maintaining physical/virtual Infrastructure hardware and software platforms
Extensive experience and technical skills with VMWare suite of products including vSphere ESXi and vCenter - versions 6.5, 6.7 & 7.0, NSX, vRealize suite, VROpManager, Vra, vRLogInsight, NSX-T
Extensive experience with Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and vSphere Replication
Understanding of Hybrid Cloud model
vSAN, DELL Chassis and SLED experience desirable
VMware Certification or proof of relevant training attendance
