The role is instrumental in ensuring a safe workplace and that quality services are provided to our customers. The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience in a similar role. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to join our team and lead our Newcastle branch towards continued success. We are looking for a person that can develop people, manage processes, including implementing company safety processes and get the best out of a team using skills, experience, knowledge and coaching to provide clients with best practice services. Reporting to the CEO, this is a permanent full-time position with a salary package to commensurate with experience and qualifications, including a company vehicle. The role is part of our Management Team. Position Overview: As a Branch Manager at Reliable Conveyor Belt, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Newcastle branch. This critical role requires a combination of technical expertise in conveyor systems, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring employees and ensuring the branch operates in alignment with our company's core values. Key Responsibilities: Safety Culture: Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and regulations. Implement safety initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and accidents. Technical Expertise: Understand and manage conveyor systems, including the ability to develop and implement maintenance and asset management strategies on client's conveyor systems. Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to branch staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Mentor and develop employees to enhance their skills and capabilities. Respond to breakdowns and after-hours challenges. Uphold Company Values: Ensure that all branch activities are aligned with the company's values, including working safely, teamwork, reliability of service, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Operations Management: Oversee daily branch operations, including managing resources, people and equipment, planning and supporting execution of maintenance shutdowns, customer relations, and logistics to meet and exceed customer expectations. Budget Management: Develop and manage the branch budget, monitor expenses, and work towards achieving financial targets. Reporting: Generate regular reports on branch performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights and recommendations for improvements. Selection Criteria: Previous track record in meeting Key Indicators and Compliance requirements such as Incident Reporting, Safety Interactions, Reporting submissions and Quality Control documentation. Experience in shutdown planning and execution. Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Engineering or Project Management. Proven experience in managing conveyor systems and addressing breakdowns. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Dedication to safety and a strong understanding of safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to uphold company values and promote a positive work culture. Previous experience in branch or operations management preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Proficiency in ERP systems, such as NAV or Pronto.
