ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking applications from highly motivated and experienced people to join the Women’s Community Centre, within the Offender Services unit, as an AMC Women’s Case Manager (ASO6). The Women’s Community Centre (WCC) is responsible for ensuring gender responsive and individualised service delivery that recognises women are a minority in the correctional service system and have specific needs that are fundamentally different to their male counterparts. The successful applicant will provide end-to-end integrated case management for women remanded in custody through the development and review of case management strategies and processes. In addition, you will also work towards facilitating the process of moving women detainees who have experienced, or at risk of, domestic violence towards reintegration into the community, with a focus on independent and/or safe living. To be successful you will be able to demonstrate significant skill and expertise in developing, implementing and monitoring individualised case plans. You will also be able to demonstrate a capacity for developing positive relationships with detainees to enable the accurate identification of risks and needs. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. 6. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
