About Us North-West Tasmania is home to our Wynyard site which makes cheese and a range of powders for our customers. We take Tasmanian farmers’ milk and turn this into world-class dairy foods for both the domestic and export market. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team at our Wynyard site in a permanent, part-time capacity (25 hours per week), these hours will need to be stretched across all 5 days Mon-Fri approx. 5 hours per day. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in the dairy industry or for a junior quality coordinator or recent graduate ready to make an impact. About the opportunity You’ll be providing vital support to the wider Wynyard quality team and ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain accurate records of quality data. Assist in the development and implementation of quality task SOPs. Perform plant hygiene swabbing and sample collection. Register and prepare all samples to be sent for testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Operate laboratory equipment and perform calibrations as required. Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge. About You A relevant qualification/ experience is not required but will be highly regarded. You can also demonstrate: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
