Flavours on Charcoal, located in Burleigh Waters, Gold Coast, is seeking full-time Chef to join our team.
We are looking for a experienced professional who are passionate about delivering high-quality dishes.
The ideal candidate must have: At least two years of experience in a similar role A relevant AQF Diploma qualification The salary on offer is $70,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on skills, qualifications, and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation.
Duties will include: Plan menus and specials; Experience in cooking with charcoal; Cooking Brazilian style dishes in accordance with the menu; Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of food preparation and presentation to deliver at high standards; Work pleasantly within the kitchen team, raise any concerns with management to seek a solution; Be able to work all sections of the kitchen; assist where required and advise others on cooking procedures where required; Ensure that supplies are properly ordered and received; Estimate food and labour costs; Address meal complaints is a cooperative and prompt manner; Prepare and serve food as per portion controls, season as necessary, weigh, measure & mixing ingredients as per recipes; Store food properly; Minimise food waste, accurately record any wastage; Assist with the training of staff including apprentices & trainees; Ensure you follow hygienic food handling practices; Follow daily cleaning checklists; Follow safe work practices; Report faulty equipment to management.
