Job Description
The opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Electrical Tutor in Rotorua. This full-time role will be instrumental in supporting student learning and achievement, helping students build a strong foundation for their careers in the electrical industry.
What you'll be doing
* Inspire & educate - Deliver engaging electrical courses, assess student progress, and develop learning resources.
* Support and mentor - Coach students, track their achievements, and collaborate with mentors to ensure success.
* Maintain a great learning environment - Help manage training facilities, ensure resources are ready, and support workshop upkeep.
* Champion Health & Safety - Promote a strong safety culture, follow regulations, and report any hazards.
Desired Skills And Experience
Qualifications & skills
* NZ Electrical Registration (Full Practising License, Inspectors Licence, or Electrical Engineering Degree or similar) – required.
* Extensive practical experience in the electrical industry.
* Experience in adult tertiary teaching or training is a plus (training support provided).
* Solid understanding of learning theories, student engagement, and curriculum planning.
* Experience in people management or supervisory roles.
* Proficient with Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
