Achieve net zero emissions in our own operationsAbout the Opportunity We're looking for a dedicated professional to take on the role of Applications Support Specialist at AGIG. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for governing the operations, maintenance, and enhancements of applications across AGIG.
You will manage the operational performance of the various Application Managed Service providers within the AGIG IT environment, application updates/enhancements, vendor releases for COTS applications, as well as the transition of changes (by the delivery teams) into the production environment.
Key Responsibilities: Support standards for AGIG applications' lifecycle management and maintenance.Collaborate with Application Managed Services Providers to improve maintenance processes, tools, and methodologies.Monitor compliance against architecture, policy, licensing, and security, ensuring no material non-compliance breaches are identified.Coordinate audit activities between Service Providers and auditors.Identify risks to application availability and security, supporting efforts to eliminate or reduce AGIG's exposure to these risks.Assess readiness of new/changed applications and endorse transitions to support.Provide direction and support to Application Managed Services Providers in addressing escalated operational issues.Monitor contract compliance and adherence to service levels.Participate in change control boards to minimise production risk.About You Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified professionals, with proven experience in a similar role.Good understanding of ITIL practices, IT operations, and ITSM tools.Minimum of five years of application maintenance and enhancement experience, preferably in the Utilities sector.Analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities.Tertiary qualifications in a technology-related discipline.Knowledge of SDLC, Software Package Integration, and the Information Technology industry.The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical and delivery skills.What we offer We are proud to be recognised as an inclusive employer by Diversity Council Australia, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has earned us recognition in 2023-2024.
