About the opportunity
Primary Health Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and proactive manager to join our senior leadership group as Manager – Partnership and Integration. The Partnership and Integration team are significant contributors to improving the primary healthcare system and influencing ‘single-system’ thinking and improved integration of care, through working with key health system stakeholders – consumers, communities, providers, organisations and system partners.
The work focuses on understanding and influencing the policy context within which we work, advancing key improvements across the health system, driving population health planning and strengthening an integrated approach to safety and quality in health care, to ultimately better health outcomes for Tasmanians. The team has a strong focus on working in partnership, from supporting local community-based health service planning through to working with our partners on key health system reforms.
What would you be doing…
Working closely with the General Manager – Health System Improvement, you will;
* Lead and develop the Partnership and Integration team, supporting them to reach their full potential
* Oversee operational functions such as the team’s budget, procurement and project activities and human resources - recruitment and team performance management
* Foster productive and trusted relationships with health system stakeholders
* Identify and implement health system quality improvement initiatives
* Drive innovation through research and evaluation of future initiatives
* Represent Primary Health Tasmania at forums and working groups
Here's what you’ll look like…
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a leadership role where you have proven success in strategic oversight of business area outcomes
* Knowledge of the Tasmanian health system and other care sectors and the ability to apply system thinking to innovative improvement initiatives
* Master of engagement and collaboration, able to build and maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders, creating a shared vision and purpose
* Understanding of project management methodology and able to translate this into achieving project objectives
* Strong, values-based leadership attributes
