Located in Port Lincoln, our client has a reputation synonymous with producing excellent food using the finest local produce and unrivalled service in their hotel's full service restaurant. The Company is looking for an experienced cook and chef to prepare and cook quality food, and manage the kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Producing high quality dishes that follow established menu standards and meet client requirements.
2. Providing a high level of customer service.
3. Assisting the Executive Chef in planning menus and monitoring wage costs and budgets.
4. Assisting the Executive Chef in monitoring stock ordering, control, and budgets.
5. Training auxiliary kitchen staff to achieve the best results in minimum time while maximizing available resources.
6. Working positively and cooperatively with all team members.
7. Maintaining order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours.
8. Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, from ingredients to finished dishes.
9. Being responsible for the prevention of unsafe work practices or incidents.
10. Ensuring that professional equipment is in good condition and reporting any repair requirements immediately to avoid breakdowns.
11. Ensuring that all items are secured and reporting any concerns or breaches of policy immediately.
In return, we offer a salary range of $73,000 - $78,000 per annum + superannuation (depending on experience). Only successful applicants will be contacted.
