Job Description About the role We currently have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to take on the role of Information and Technology Senior Support Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for the 2nd level ICT support of the business, as well as having the opportunity to grow your skills by assisting with the administration of the corporation's server and network infrastructure. Based at our Head Office in Bairnsdale, the Information and Technology Senior Support Officer will be responsible for providing high-level technical system support across the business, proposing corrective actions, and assisting with the administration of the corporation's IT Systems. To be successful in this role you will have: A qualification in Information Technology, computer science, or 5 years' demonstrated experience in an IT-related field. Be customer-focused with the skills and ability to be responsive to the needs of internal and external customers while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to manage conflicting priorities to ensure customer satisfaction. Ability to identify ICT security concerns and escalate as required. A sound understanding of ICT support processes and procedures such as ITIL. Well-developed interpersonal skills combined with good verbal and writing skills, ensuring the ability to work effectively with people at all organizational levels, in and outside of East Gippsland Water. A positive attitude towards personal development including being accountable, innovative, passionate, and united to achieve corporate objectives. Desirable Technical Skills: Provide technical support including identification, diagnosis, and resolution for end-user-related requests. Demonstrated practical experience supporting Microsoft platforms and applications in commercial environments (i.e., Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016/2019, Office 365, Active Directory). Experience supporting, or knowledge of, server operating systems such as Windows Server 2016, 2019. Experience troubleshooting & repairing server/network hardware from vendors such as Dell, HP, etc. Experience working within a virtual environment (VMWare). Exposure to Cloud-based products such as Office 365, Azure. Working knowledge of backup software such as Veeam.
