Mine Surveyor (Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA, AU)Northern Star Resources have a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Mine Surveyor to join the Open Pit Mining team at the KCGM operations, residentially based in Kalgoorlie – the Heart of the Goldfields.You will provide a surveying service to KCGM through the delivery of core mine survey production deliverables in a timely, safe and accurate manner. This includes void delineation, pit design compliance and all relevant survey production tasks to ensure the KCGM operation meets relevant safety and production targets.Tasks include: Setting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.Accurate delineation of hazardous areas including voids.Carry out end of month processes for development and stockpile reconciliation.Attending technical and daily production meetings, and collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineers and the Mine Foreman.Using aerial and scanning data to calculate volumes as part of weekly, fortnightly reporting.Performing regular drone flights picking up active mining areas and tailings monitoring.Ensuring the survey priorities align with the operational team and resourcing to complete tasks are sufficient, e.g. shot clearance, shot markup, delineating historical underground workings & Ikon pickup.Training and mentoring the Surveying Graduates and vacation students in the correct methods and standards.Manage risks appropriately when completing daily mine survey tasks.Requirements: Minimum of one (1) years' survey experience in an Open Pit.Ability to obtain Mine Surveyors' Certificate Grade Two (2).Experience with Deswik Software.Experience with R10 Trimble GPS equipment.Must reside in the Goldfields region, or willing to be relocated for this residential operation.Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.Preferred: RePL (Remote Pilots Licence) & VTOL (Vertical Take Off & Landing) certification.Flying experience with Matrice200 series and Wingtra drones.Drone Post Processing experience with Site Scan and Pix4D.Be part of the next exciting growth stage of Northern Star.
