We are looking for a candidate with expertise in wind-induced microclimate effects and the broader wind engineering discipline including areas such as wind loading on structures, cladding wind pressures, and long-span bridge aerodynamics.In this role, you will provide comprehensive consulting services to clients across the APAC region, collaborating seamlessly with experts from various environmental and climatic disciplines within RWDI.This is a technically focused position that requires a client-first mindset, a strong sense of ownership over projects, and a commitment to delivering complex technical solutions with precision under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Taking a lead technical role in internal and external project teams to ensure excellence and quality of analysis and reporting.Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate all technical aspects of assigned projects, including the use of desk-based estimation tools, computational wind engineering, and/or wind tunnel testing.Driving technical innovation by enhancing internal capabilities, developing tools to improve efficiency, and refining service offerings.Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members.Conducting wind impact assessments related to pedestrian comfort and safety, structural responses of buildings in complex urban environments, and façade cladding pressures.Staying up to date with relevant industry standards, codes, and guidelines.Advising engineers and architects on wind-related design challenges and effectively communicating complex concepts to non-technical clients.Ensuring technical quality and accuracy through appropriate QA/QC processes.Role Requirements:A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental/Architectural, Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural/Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.At least 4 - 8 yrs experience in a fast-paced environmental consultancy or related field.Technical Expertise:Strong understanding of fluid flow physics and wind engineering principles.Proven ability to produce high-quality technical reports.Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, planning guidelines, and technical requirements.Consulting & Project Management Skills:Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.Strong coordination and consultation skills, with the ability to drive projects forward and resolve technical challenges.Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail.Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:Post graduate degrees in subjects relevant to the role.Professional accreditation (e.g., CPEng, RPEN) or equivalent certification.Demonstrated leadership/mentoring success.Proficiency in developing scripts or software, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in programming/scripting (Python, MATLAB, C#, VBA, C++).What We Offer:An opportunity to redefine possible.Work with a "Top Employer"Salary range: Commensurate with experienceA variety of long-term growth and development opportunities as well as ongoing training, support and guidance.Employee Assistance Programs and Health and Wellbeing allowanceFlexible work arrangements and hybrid working available for the right candidate.An abundance of career paths and opportunities to advanceIf you're interested in learning more about our company culture, please visit our LinkedIn Life Page.Thank you in advance for your application.
