About the roleCarealot are seeking qualified Support Workers to join our Fremantle team on a Casual Basis to start and then transition to Part Time.Shifts available are between 07:00am and 15:00pm, and/or 12:00pm to 19:00pm, from Monday to Sunday.Responsibilities & Duties: You will be required to deliver high-quality service within client’s homes by assisting with:
Domestic assistance (cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, linen, meal prep)
Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, dressing)
Social support (in the client's home, and outings)
Transport (to appointments, shopping, outings)
Clinical support (medication support and administration, BGL, etc.) Training and RN sign off is provided.
Respite care (giving carer's a break)
These positions require a good level of fitness and can be a physically demanding role.

You must be residing in the area of work

You must have the ability to demonstrate positivity and, also empathy
Strong values: anyone working in the sector needs to be ethical and treat people with respect.
Are you punctual? As a support worker your clients rely on you, being on time for work is really important.
Are you reliable? We create schedules to create a fair work environment and to ensure the needs of the clients you are supporting are met.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work with challenging behaviours (e.g., Dementia)
You must be able to provide all service types, ask us about training support
A good level of fitness and ability to meet the physical demands of the role
Attention to detail: this is crucial and will assist you to notice the small things that are important to the clients you are supporting.
Confident using a smart mobile phone including apps and email capability
Willing to travel within your location and surrounds to visit individual clients
Willingness to learn new skills: the world is changing faster than it ever has before, and we all have to learn to adapt.
Experience in support services is highly regarded
Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards
Strong communication skills and able to document accurate, objective and relevant information in client files and reports
Role Requirements
Passion to work for aged care community. Must understand aged care standards
Preferably (not must) hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (any stream), Aged Care, are in 2nd year Nursing or a Certificate IV in Community Services.
Current national police clearance certificate, no older than 3 months old or willing to obtain, or valid NDIS worker check
Australian C class driver's license, reliable & registered vehicle with car insurance
Current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
Current Manual Handling certificate or willing to obtain
Willing to undertake clinical training as directed
COVID-19 vaccination certificate preferred, however not essentialApply Now
