Job Description
* Oversee budgeting processes, ensure adherence to guidelines, and provide insights into financial changes.
* Manage monthly reporting and forecasting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Prepare detailed financial analysis and commentary to support operational decisions.
* Provide financial insights to executives to optimise performance, acting as a liaison between finance and operations, ensuring sound financial oversight and controls.
* Evaluate business cases, initiatives, and tenders for financial impact and risk.
* Use financial analysis to support operational performance and commercial success.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce.
* Membership with CA or CPA.
* Experience in financial support within complex organisations.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Advanced Excel capabilities.
* Knowledge of research sector operations and funding guidelines is desirable.
