The Team Leader Boilermaker allocates resources and effectively leads the boiler making tradespeople to provide a safe, efficient and effective service which includes:
Develop work schedules with multiple stakeholders to navigate competing objectives with a focus on ensuring prioritisation of work in the best interest of Council and the community.Lead the delivery of work activities through the correct allocation of resources (people, plant and materials) against service levels, time and cost in line with program targets, reporting any deviances with recommendations for works rescheduling.Provide high level technical advice and, where required, direct supervision of crews to ensure service delivery to the quality and response standards set by Council, including 24/7 emergency response works and participation in a supervisory on-call roster as agreed.About YouOur ideal candidate will have:
MandatoryA minimum of Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent.Welding Supervisor – Certificate 10 (AS1796).Current manual 'C' class drivers licence.Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).Strong leadership skills with experience supervising field-based operational staff and providing technical advice to support efficient and effective work delivery.Experience in planning, managing time and resources, supervising contractors and overseeing activities across geographically dispersed sites.DesirableAbility to analyse, develop and overhaul operational policies, practices and standards with a continuous improvement focus and based on relevant safety and legislative requirements.Experience in problem-solving and responding to emerging issues in trades skill, investigating modern best practice techniques and technology/tool advancements.Experience in managing and auditing delivery of fabrication and welding services and appropriate application of the relevant legislative and Australian standards for construction, pressure piping and non-destructive testing.Experience operating computerised equipment including the use of MS Office Suite and business systems, such as ECM.Experience in the maintenance of welder competence to AS9606.Experience in the development of welding procedure specifications.Experience with AutoCAD and PDF editing software.How To ApplyYour application can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
