We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide contemporary and grounded advice to all stakeholders.
The role will have a strong focus on Employee Relations/Industrial Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Union representatives.
* Provide accurate advice on employee matters, including complex case management and conducting workplace investigations.
* Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent for blue-collar roles.
* Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement.
* Identify training needs and coordinate programs that support employee growth, skill development, and compliance with industry standards.
* Facilitate performance appraisal processes, provide guidance on performance improvement plans, and ensure accountability across teams.
* Ensure compliance with labour laws and industry regulations.
* Develop and update HR policies to reflect best practices and company values.
* Utilise HR metrics to assess workforce trends, drive strategic initiatives, and support decision-making.
* Collaborate with management to align HR strategies with business goals, ensuring effective talent management, workforce planning, and organisational development.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
* 5+ years of HR experience in a blue-collar industry (manufacturing, construction, logistics).
* Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations.
* Ability to implement IR strategies and assist in EA negotiations.
* Proven experience in employee relations and performance management.
* Demonstrated experience working within a unionised environment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* High level of competence in dealing with all employee relations matters.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
