We are looking for an experienced and proactive Asset Performance Lead to join our team and take on a crucial role in managing and coordinating a range of complex projects. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of these projects by overseeing all aspects of planning, development, implementation, and performance management. You will be responsible for ensuring contractor compliance, managing inspections, and providing high-level advice and support to our teams.
What you'll do As the NCAT works delivery, Ministerial and Finance Team Asset Performance Lead, your key focus will be to oversee project development, manage contractor performance, and ensure the smooth delivery of maintenance and compliance projects across a diverse portfolio. You will work closely with contractors, internal teams, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes in line with established standards and methodologies.
Your responsibilities encompass all aspects of planning, development, implementation, inspection, and performance management. You'll develop comprehensive project plans, coordinate resources, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to reporting requirements, utilising established agency project management methodology.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with contractors and stakeholders will be paramount as you collaborate to resolve service delivery issues and ensure fair and consistent adjudication. Your keen oversight will extend to monitoring and evaluating all project aspects, including risk management, benefits realisation, and compliance measures.
You'll manage teams, ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards to achieve key service outcomes. In addition, you'll coordinate the issuance of non-compliance notices and other performance measures to contractors, ensuring quality workmanship and initiating abatement action where necessary.
Your expertise will also be crucial in providing advice on scoping and variation claims, as well as offering timely, high-level guidance to senior management on inspection, verification, and program activities.

What we're looking for Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government, or commercial probity and contracting standards. Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards. Current driver's license. Desirable - experience in compliance inspections of building essential services.
