The Role Reporting to the Directors and overseeing the day-to-day management of the finance function, you will work with multiple clients as their first point of contact for all finance related tasks. Responsibilities include implementing strategic directions, managing a team of 3-5 Bookkeepers and Account Managers (including offshore staff) and identifying and implementing systems, policies, and processes to enhance financial monitoring, accountability, and growth for clients. Key responsibilities will include: Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting across 8-10 clients Preparation of annual accounts and statutory reporting Management and ultimate responsibility of the finance team Performance management of the finance team Monitoring day-to-day financial operations, such as payroll, debtors, creditors, and bank reconciliations across multiple clients Preparation of monthly/quarterly ATO obligations Providing financial and analytical support to two Directors Guiding and coaching Account Managers and Bookkeepers Supporting the Directors with budgets, special projects, reporting, and financial accountability Performing ad hoc analysis proactively as directed to provide performance insights Developing strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of conflicts The Person You will be CA/CPA qualified with prior experience in managing annual audits and preparing annual financial statements. Having worked for a variety of industries and sized businesses, you will be consultative, providing expert advice and knowledge to clients and the team alike. Standing out with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will demonstrate experience working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups. As a self-starter you will have the ability to work with limited supervision whilst managing small-to-medium organisation's accounting, tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
