ABOUT THE ROLEAre you looking to carve a career in Community Housing and Not-for-Profit industry? Our Salvos Housing Victoria team is expanding, a newly created role has become available for a driven, enthusiastic Property Assistant. The role will be based at Belmont on a max term contract - 12 months, full-time basis. Reporting to the Housing Coordinator, you will be responsible to provide full range of administrative tenancy and property management support to the Housing Worker (Property Manager).Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the housing team in relation to day-to-day property and tenancy management.
Coordinate, schedule and conduct property inspections including completing property condition reports, and inspection of vacant properties
Track and monitor maintenance requests and repairs requests, follow up with trades, and ensure timely completion
Handle data and documentation administration, including setting up client databases, preparing reports, and maintaining filing systems
Compile information, prepare and update reports or other documents as required, such as lease agreement, Property Emergency Call Lists, Tenant Contact Lists, etc.
ABOUT YOUOur ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in administrative support or property management role. You are a people person with high engagement levels and excellent relationship building capacity to work with people from diverse backgrounds.Key Capabilities and requirements of the role:
Relevant industry experience in real estate, community housing will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies act, Tribunal and professional standards in the industry is desirable, but gained in the work environment.
Certificate IV in Administration or A current Real Estate Licence.
A current full driver's licence.
Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
