We are a diverse team with specialised knowledge of accounting functions therefore providing a great support structure and friendly open plan environment.About the role:Outback Stores is searching for a vibrant individual who is looking to support and join the Finance team as a Management Accountant.This role is ideal for someone who has been operating and managing a team in a finance environment. The position requires a highly organised and motivated individual, with a passion for finance, process and continuous improvement and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Your key accountabilities will be:Assist Finance Manager in review and reporting of stores financial data in a timely and accurate manner, including profit and loss variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.Manage a team of Accounting Officers, to ensure reporting is delivered in accordance with compliance deadlines and requirements.Review end of month accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash reports for aligned stores.Manage stores payroll and superannuation processing, BAS, IAS and PAYG.Reconcile and manage the CBA (Community Benefit Account) process for stores.Responsible for all communication with banks and all new account setups.Communicate with auditors on timing of year-end audits.Communicate audit queries with Accounting Officers. Assist in the collation of data if required.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you:Degree or Diploma of Accountancy coupled with relevant experience.At least 2 years previous accounts experience.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and have a can-do attitude.Show accountability in all aspects of the position.Experience with SAGE desirable.Degree in Accounting or other relevant training.Able to work within a team environment.Outback Stores offers an experience like no other and the opportunity to make a positive difference in remote communities of Australia.
