Planner/ Senior Planner
RPS has an outstanding opportunity available for an experienced Planner / Senior Planner to join our Brisbane team on a permanent full time basis, based in Fortitude Valley.

With a diverse range of clients, across a range of sectors and geographies, your working day will be varied in terms of the type of projects you are working on and the people you are working with.
This role is client facing with the opportunity to be the client liaison, and deal directly with other project team members, government and other key stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to mentor and work with more junior team members.
You will be based within our Brisbane Place and Environment Team, a multi-disciplinary team which includes town planning, landscape architecture, survey/mapping and urban design. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with our advisory and project management teams. We provide all staff with flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities
1. Key contributor on many of the largest Queensland energy projects, master planned communities, and inner city mixed use projects in Queensland in both the Urban Growth (everything from industrial, health, mixed use, greenfield, centres, retirement and aged care) and Renewable Energy Sectors.
2. Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, studies and strategic planning projects.
3. Coordinate studies and projects including; Due Diligence Reports, Planning Proposals and Development Applications.
4. Work directly with clients, internal and external project team members, government and other stakeholders.
5. Work collaboratively with your colleagues at RPS.
Qualifications required
6. Tertiary qualifications in urban/town planning (or equivalent).
7. Ideally 5 years' experience in the planning/approvals/environment
assessment industry (QLD &/or NSW experience preferable).
8. Experience in providing strategic and statutory planning advice to public and private clients.
9. High quality writing abilities.
10. Ability to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
11. Strong commitment to client service, team work and passion to shape planning outcomes.
