Estimator\Supervisor | Southerland Shire Office Based | $90K - $120K + Super + Car + On Site Parking
Design & Build is thrilled to partner with our client, a prestigious construction company that specialises in insurance projects. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Estimator/Supervisor to join their team. Our client, operating in collaboration with major insurance companies, is renowned for their expertise in providing top-notch construction services for insurance-related events.
As an Estimator/Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the insurance process, ensuring that projects are efficiently managed and completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations of event damage, identifying maintenance concerns, and preparing and submitting detailed reports that align with the specific requirements of insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct systematic investigations of event damage, paying close attention to all maintenance concerns
2. Prepare and submit detailed reports in compliance with individual Insurance Company requirements
3. Develop concise trade Scopes of Work accompanied by accurate estimates that adhere to company agreed rates or industry standards
4. Issue Work Orders and effectively manage the job budget
5. Regularly visit project sites to ensure the fulfillment of trade scopes of work
6. Review, approve, or reject subcontractor variations as submitted
7. Communicate timely updates to insured parties and/or home occupants regarding deliveries and scheduled works
8. Provide regular reports and updates to the Assessing Manager

To be considered for this role:
12. Experience in estimating and supervising construction projects within the insurance sector
13. High attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate reports that meet insurance company requirements
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
15. Proficiency in managing budgets and delivering projects within specified timelines
16. Sound knowledge of industry standards, practices, and insurance protocols
