About the role

In this role, you’ll work alongside the Sous Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining impeccable hygiene standards and practices across the kitchen.
* Training, mentoring, and developing junior kitchen staff to foster a culture of excellence.
* Overseeing the preparation and presentation of food to meet the expectations of our diverse clientele.
* Collaborating with the team across our multifaceted kitchens to ensure smooth operations during peak times and special events.

Skills & experience
* Great attention to detail and passionate in what you do!
* At least 2-3 years’ experience in fast-paced kitchens.
* Excellent communication skills needed to liaise with multiple Food & Beverage Outlets.
* Great organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Proven success in managing junior staff & leading a team.
* Understanding of food cost and production.
* Computer skills.
* Available to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety procedures.
* Trade cooking qualifications are essential (Certificate 111 / IV in Commercial Cookery).
* Strong leadership and work ethic.
* Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the established hotel occupational health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
* You must meet the requirements to work in Australia to be considered.
