Maintenance Tradesperson (Light Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic)
Petuna is seeking a Maintenance Tradesperson (Light Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic) to join the team at our Aquaculture Farm located at Rowella, 35 minutes north of Launceston.
Our Atlantic Salmon Farm at Rowella is unique in the Tasmanian Aquaculture industry as it utilises a steel cage platform with a fixed link to the shoreline enabling vehicular and pedestrian access.

Duties
* Conducting all work safely, in line with company policies and procedures.
* Ensuring that all facilities, plant and equipment are maintained and serviced to meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
* Ensuring that all breakdowns are minimised and repairs and corrective actions identified are carried out in a timely manner.
* Ensuring that all requests / corrective actions that may affect the safety or integrity of an asset are given immediate priority, action and outcome.
* Maintaining accurate records of all planned, unplanned and corrective action maintenance, via our Windows (MEX) based maintenance software system.
* Communicating to help ensure critical spares are available onsite as needed.
Qualifications Required
* A Light Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic trade qualification with relevant recent experience.
* Previous experience in a maintenance role, mechanical/marine engineering experience will be highly regarded.
* White card, first aid, forklift, crane rigging/dogman, working at heights and confined space qualifications would be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated experience in proactive maintenance scheduling and systems.
* An established background and commitment to safe work practice and systems.
* An ability to make decisions independently whilst having the foresight to consult the maintenance manager when necessary.
* A work ethic that is highly organised, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Current Right to Work in Australia.
