Working from a state of the art workshop you will be supporting and mentoring workshop team and helping guide them to success. Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of our Griffith workshop Service team, which also includes a group of skilled apprentices. They will ensure that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The Leading Hand will assist in providing mentoring and coaching to workshop based service technicians and apprentices and will act as a central knowledge resource for junior technicians as well as an escalation point for the workshop team. Access to Toyota Fleet Vehicle discounts Enjoy exclusive discounts and cashback offers through our ‘Swag Store' App (retail, health, entertainment and wellbeing) Progress with ease via John Deere University Pathways, a dedicated Learning and Development Coordinator and Bi-Annual Performance Reviews Coaching, counselling and well-being support services through our EAP Provider; Assure Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Act as the conduit between the Service Manager, and workshop based Technicians to ensure consistent and effective communication Ensure all workshop based technicians have the resources and relevant knowledge to perform allocated jobs Provide daily feedback to Service Manager regarding: Job status Customer feedback Diagnostic learning requirements Technician concerns Resource requirements Act as a mentor and an escalation point to all workshop based staff Contribute to Toolbox meeting discussions in order to set direction and provide feedback Perform service, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and equipment (both in the workshop and on client farms) Diagnose and interpret machine faults to get our customers back up and running Manage and maintain service records for machinery Providing technical advice and support to customers and other service technicians Ad hoc duties as required: facilitate the assignment of jobs, arrange pre-delivery of new workshop equipment, participate in re-conditioning of used equipment About you: 3 years experience as a qualified Service Technician Qualifications in HV Diesel Mechanics or similar Ability to lead, train and coach others and write and speak effectively to individuals and groups Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
