Job Title: Deputy CEO
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will support the CEO in managing Southern Cross Education Institute's operations, overseeing corporate strategy and academic policy, procedure and implementation against regulatory Standards. As direct support to the CEO, prior experience in high level academic and corporate governance roles is required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Inspire & Lead: Craft and communicate a compelling vision, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with SCEI values.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring high-quality training delivery and regulatory compliance.
* Trainer Development: Cultivate a team of exceptional trainers through strategic recruitment, development, and performance management.
* Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
* Strategic Growth: Drive digital transformation, optimise resources, and ensure financial sustainability.
* Quality and Compliance: Lead innovation and efficiency to high standards for training programs and services.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with industry partners, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes:
* A relevant Degree or Advanced Diploma in Education or Training Management.
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
* 8+ years of senior management experience in an RTO or related field, with a strong understanding of the VET Quality Framework.
* Excellent leadership and staff management skills, with demonstrated experience in managing faculties or schools.
* Outstanding people management, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Change management skills and a proven ability to build, develop, and implement strategies for improvement.
* Ability to advance quality assurance and improvement by development of planning, monitoring, review, and improvement strategies.
* Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* Capacity to deal effectively with multiple tasks and competing demands.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* High level attention to detail.
* An Auditing or Quality Assurance qualification (highly desirable).
* Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams.
* Proficiency with Moodle, Paradigm, FEE-HELP, and other fundings.
