About Us:
We are an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to achieving health equity for Aboriginal people in the Barkly region. To achieve our goal, we employ over 150 people across a diverse range of roles in each of our key sections of Health Services, Public Health, Stronger Families and Business Services.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Manager and working closely with the P&C Team, you will work with the Section Managers at Anyinginyi Health and provide key advice.
Key responsibilities:
o Liaise with Section Managers to maintain/update Job Descriptions.
o Lead recruitment for all vacancies.
o Networking through industry contacts, social media, and employees
o Liaise with recruitment agencies and the media for the timely advertising of vacancies in accordance with relevant Policy.
o Conduct screening of applications, shortlisting and arrange interviews.
o Conduct reference/background checks.
o Draft and issue letters to unsuccessful applicants.
o Issue Employment Contracts to new and existing employees.
o Provide regular reports to Senior Management and perform special projects as assigned.
o Represent the organization at Employment Exhibitions and give presentations at local Schools/ student group meetings to increase awareness of the organization before and after career fairs.
o Keep up to date with current employment and human resource legislation and best practice principals for continuous improvement.
o Provide regular and accurate employee reporting from the HR Management System.
About You:
o You are respectful of Aboriginal culture and protocols.
o Knowledge and understanding of your role in an Aboriginal community-controlled environment.
o Experience in HR process and learning and development.
o Ability to foster teamwork and collaborate with different departments.
o Demonstrated experience in database management and record keeping.
o Excellent computer skills.
o Ochre Card / Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain)
o Ability to work responsibly including the ability to plan and use time effectively when working on several tasks at once.
o Ability to maintain the confidential nature of human resources work.
o Administration and record keeping related to conducting and delivering of training.

Qualification:
Desirable: Certificate IV or Diploma in HR or willing to enroll in the course to obtain the certificate.
