The Branch prepares Finance’s corporate plan and annual report and manages projects under Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs.The International Section supports Finance’s interests internationally through engaging and providing working-level technical assistance, information exchanges, and negotiation of agreements and arrangements. Consistent with the Government’s international policy objectives, the section is responsible for the implementation of ODA programs that build institutional partnerships in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Pacific. This involves significant stakeholder engagement with DFAT, other Commonwealth agencies, and our international counterparts.The key duties of the position include:The Assistant Director supports the Director, International in advancing the international engagement activities of the Department of Finance. In particular, they are responsible for leading a small team tasked with the overall management and delivery of one of Finance’s ODA funded institutional capacity building programs.
