The single most important goal of AMAH is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process. AMAH Workforce Development and Education is a dynamic interdisciplinary team made up of clinicians and lived experience workers providing training and education to Nursing and Allied Health staff working in all areas of mental and addiction health. We work closely with management and staff to support cultural change and personal development using a collaborative approach. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will effectively and efficiently perform a range of teaching roles and tasks to support and coordinate undergraduate nurses whilst on clinical placement at Alfred Health. This includes orientation of students on their first day of placement, facilitating clinical placements and coordinating assessments of student performance through collaboration with allocated preceptors. Inclusive to this role is the capacity to establish an innovative range of training programs and workshops to facilitate student learning. About you Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA Postgraduate Diploma or Masters qualification in mental health nursing that is recognised by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses as a mental health specialty program Recent experience working in the public psychiatric setting as a nurse particularly Inpatient Unit Recent experience in planning educational sessions and previous experience working in nursing education is an advantage Certificate IV Assessment and training (TAE40116) is desirable Experience with learning management systems such as Learning Exchange or Canvas Instructure is desirable Australian working rights Current Victorian Driver's License Be willing to undergo a Background Check Other benefits Salary Packaging & Novated Leasing through Maxxia.
