The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Infusion Therapy) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
1. Be familiar and have experience with all Vascular Access Devices
2. Triage and review PICC insertion referrals in consultation with the Clinical Nurse Consultants as required.
3. Be able to wear lead protection without restriction
4. Assist with Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter insertion
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
5. Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
6. Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
7. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
8. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
9. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
10. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
20. Permanent part time (45.6 hours p.f)
21. Base salary ranging from $54.44 - $58.30 per hour
About Us
Infusion Therapy/Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter Service is a small specialty service based at Gold Coast University Hospital Medical Imaging that provides expert advice and support to the Hospital and Health Service. Services includes a nurse led Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter insertion service, Central Venous Access Devices clinical rounding and surveillance, education and troubleshooting.
