A prominent law firm is currently looking for an Associate based in Perth to join their thriving construction and infrastructure team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of major infrastructure and energy projects for both domestic and international clients, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. This team works closely with key stakeholders, including head contractors and developers, to prepare and negotiate a wide range of high-profile contracts. The Role The role will involve providing strategic procurement advice in the early development phases and structuring of projects. As a core member of the Projects team, you will work closely with senior Partners and colleagues assisting on front-end energy and infrastructure projects. You will be expected to take on high levels of responsibility, working independently or within a team to manage complex matters or work streams. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of the team. You will work closely with Partners on business development efforts to identify new client opportunities and contribute to proposal and tender activities. You will also be encouraged to build your own relationships and further establish your presence in the market. Candidate Profile High-performing individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strong legal background, someone who is eager to contribute to both client success and the firm’s growth will do well in this role. You will bring technical expertise and be confident in handling complex drafting and negotiations. Essential Skills Australian-qualified lawyer with 1-3 years' post-qualification experience in private practice Proven experience in front-end construction and infrastructure law Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and stakeholders Commercial awareness with a passion for business development.
