together.About the RolesWe are after experienced radio communications technical officers / technicians to join our busy team.Have experience in the installation, diagnosis, and repair of radio equipment, including VHF, UHF, HF land mobile radio communication systems.Have experience in digital, internet-protocol based radio communication systems and networks.Are experienced in a similar role and are self-sufficient and show strong initiative.Can cope with multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to prioritise and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines.Are problem solvers with the ability to translate complex technical information to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.Are dedicated team players.Level 5 Senior Technical OfficerSupervises the technical support team, investigating issues and diagnosing and repairing faults.Works across various projects providing specialist technical advice, training, and support on radio communications systems.Proactively engages with stakeholders to provide technical support, with a strong focus on customer service.Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of radio communications industry standards, trends, and practices.Identifies and implements improvements to enhance service delivery.Level 4 Technical OfficerCarries out installations, maintenance, and testing on DFES land mobile radio communications systems.Diagnoses and repairs complex faults.Provides radio communications advice to operational staff and volunteers.Helps with scheduling maintenance activities for radio communication assets.Builds rapport with stakeholders to provide a high level of customer service.PrerequisitesLevel 5 Senior Technical OfficerPossession of a diploma or trade certificate in Radio Communications or similar.Possession of a current Western Australian Driver's License (C Class minimum).Level 4 Technical OfficerA Diploma or Trade Certificate in Radio Communications or equivalent or demonstrated active progression towards same.Possession of a current Western Australian Driver's License (C Class minimum).Employment Conditions and Additional InformationDFES is an emergency services organisation, and all employees may be
