We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer/Buyer with experience preferably in the mining/ Industrial sector.
3 months contract role with possible extension

THE ROLE: PURCHASING OFFICER
Location: Jandakot, WA
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Comply with short and long-term purchasing and inventory strategies
* Provide support for spend category sourcing reviews
* Secure and report savings, cost reductions achieved and secured during the purchasing process
* Ensure efficient and effective 2-way flow of purchase order information across the supply chain stakeholders – Production, S&P Solutions, Engineering and Vendors
* Raise and administer purchase orders to ensure on-time, lowest cost supply of goods and services to meet the Production plan(s) and spare parts delivery dates.
* Participate in the regular monitoring and reporting of supplier DIFOT and quality performance, including the receipt and storage of QA documentation.
* Compliance with relevant legislation and PAU policy, procedures and business rules.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Qualifications in Procurement / Materials Management / Supply Chain
* Capable of operating an ERP system
* Ability to organise data and compile/publish data and reports in Microsoft suite – particularly Excel
* Previous experience working as Purchase Officer in the mining/ industrial sector or Experience in domestic low-cost country sourcing
* Attend meetings with vendors and provide feedback to internal customers
* Strong work ethic
