About the role We are seeking suitably qualified and committed Music Teachers to fulfil the ongoing full-time position of Secondary Music Teacher/Band Coordinator at our School, starting on 15 July 2024. We strongly encourage experienced teachers to apply for this position. In this role, you will collaborate with instrumental tutors and classroom teachers to provide high-quality Performing Arts education. This includes public performances and special events. The position reports to both the Creative and Performing Arts Coordinator and the Head of Secondary, and encompasses responsibilities in teaching, co-curricular music activities, and curriculum development. Key Responsibilities: Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) Enthusiasm for engaging students in meaningful learning experiences Passion for Christian Education Experienced musician Confident in the use of technology in the classroom Curious and tenacious learner with a passion for motivating students to be likewise Desire to deliver high-quality music classes to Secondary students that promote a love for music Desire to engage in a dynamic staff learning environment where the honing of one's teaching practice is encouraged and facilitated Experience in teaching Stage 6 Music 1 and Music 2 Willingness to Coordinate Tyndale's school band and co-curricular music groups Experience in leading and conducting instrumental/vocal ensembles (e.g. the school choir, worship band, etc.) Have an integrated understanding of the interaction between one's faith and teaching Engage in School Performing Arts events and display consistent support for the School through visible involvement in School life (e.g. Creative and Performing Arts Showcase nights, annual Carol service) Work as a team member of the Creative and Performing Arts department to foster collaboration and creativity Application Process: For more information about working at Tyndale, please click here to see a copy of our Staff Recruitment Booklet.
