Job Responsibilities To be capable of using all Tool room machinery where required. To respond to Tooling related breakdowns as quickly and efficiently as possible. To manufacture tooling and ancillary components either from engineering drawings or the copying of existing parts. To perform tasks for the repair/modification of all production tooling including extrusion and mould tools. To assist maintenance as and when required. To troubleshoot when responding to production problems and breakdowns. To assist the Die and Calibrator cleaning operation when required. To carry tasks out to a high degree of workmanship in an environment which strives for continuous improvement. To keep the department clean and tidy at all times, reporting any hazards to the Engineering Manager. To be responsible for your own safety by performing tasks in a safe and timely manner in accordance with Company Health and Safety Rules and Working Practices (Health and Safety Charter of Rules). THE ONLY LINES OF DEMARCATION TO BE FOLLOWED WITHIN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT ARE: Time, Ability and Safety. Requirements City and Guilds qualification (or equivalent).
