We are looking for a reliable and precise professional to help us properly maintain our accounts payable function.The Accounts Payable Officer will maintain the creditor ledger, process supplier invoices and organise payments, as well as working with the creditors to reconcile monthly statements and resolve any issues.The candidate will also maintain our purchasing system and provide training to new users as required.As part of this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: Be the key point of contact for all account payable matters.Validate and process invoices, and organise payment runs.Creditor maintenance and reconciliations.Manage and maintain the purchase order system, including staff training.Organise competition prizes and other related payments.Liaise with external auditors during annual audits. About you... Essential knowledge, skills & competencies 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.Completed tertiary accounting education.Experience in Microsoft Office suite and ERP system, especially in creditors module.Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Workplace is highly regarded.Understanding of relevant tax obligations and reporting requirements.Have strong analytic and problem-solving skills.Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Have strong focus on providing excellent service to internal and external clients, with the ability to address issues and requests promptly.Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
