2024 Emergency Department - Registrar
The Emergency Department (ED) is a well-equipped facility with 29 points of care including 3 resuscitation bays staffed by doctors and nurses with specialist training in emergency medicine.
Reporting to the Medical Workforce Unit Manager and Directors of Emergency Department, the 2024 Emergency Department Registrar will be required to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team; apply theoretical knowledge and experience in determining the appropriate clinical diagnosis, investigations and treatment of patients; and supervise registrars/provisional trainees as appropriate, HMOs and interns in the Emergency Department of Latrobe Regional Health.
For applicants registered with the college, this role will be suitable for 6 months ACEM Advanced Training of core ED and there is the opportunity to accredit a 6-month non-core rotation. The opportunity exists for non-trainees to complete the ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate, Diploma and or Advanced Diploma.

We are looking for candidates with:
6. Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
7. General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
8. Relevant Experience in Emergency Department; and
9. Registration with ACEM/ACCRM/FRACGP as a Trainee is desirable
10. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
