An outstanding opportunity awaits a proactive and dynamic leader to join the dedicated Cath Lab team, managing a skilled team of 40 professionals on a full-time basis at a premier private hospital on the Gold Coast. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing operational direction for the Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure efficient and effective management;
2. Coordinating the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective evidence-based nursing care;
3. Providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to your nursing team;
4. Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources;
5. Having a working knowledge of flexible rosters, budgets, and key performance indicators;
6. Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
7. Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with the VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
8. Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centered care in a team-focused environment;
9. Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
10. Undertaking direct patient care as required.
REQUIREMENTS
11. Current Registration with AHPRA;
12. Extensive experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab;
13. Demonstrated leadership/management experience;
14. An ability to communicate with influence to achieve results;
15. Strong clinical expertise and passion for delivering high-quality patient care;
16. Commitment to enabling a culture of continuous improvement;
17. Post-graduate qualification in the relevant field of specialty or working toward;
18. Post-graduate qualifications in Leadership and Management (desirable).
