Then we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Livestock Management: Monitor and maintain herd health, assist with calving, administer vaccinations, and ensure proper breeding programs. Feeding and Nutrition: Provide high-quality feed and pasture management to support optimal milk production and cow health. Milking Operations: Operate and maintain milking equipment, ensuring milk quality meets our high standards. Farm Maintenance: Maintain and repair farm infrastructure, including barns, fences, and water systems. Business Management: Keep accurate records of milk production, herd health, feed inventory, and farm expenses. Staff Supervision: Assist in training and supervising farm workers and contractors. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Education: Experience in dairy farming is preferred, but formal qualifications in agriculture or animal husbandry are an advantage. Animal Care: Strong knowledge of dairy cattle behavior, nutrition, and health management. Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the demands of farm work, including lifting, bending, and working in all weather conditions. Time Management: Ability to prioritize daily tasks efficiently. Technical Skills: Experience operating and maintaining farm machinery is a plus. Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and respond to unexpected farm challenges.
