What's the Role:
As the leader of the global Product Sourcing Quality Team, you will develop and implement quality strategies to ensure product quality from external suppliers.
You will lead the global quality team to promote quality systems, processes, and compliance. As a people leader, you will utilize your understanding of quality management principles to guide the team, suppliers, and the business.
You will mentor and develop team members, provide training on quality standards and procedures, and implement global training programs.
Collaborating with the global product sourcing team, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.
You will set quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and suppliers, ensuring that all quality projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Working closely with the broader Product Sourcing team, you will support the qualification of external suppliers to produce Bradken’s products. By developing and implementing risk-based supplier quality performance guidelines, you will ensure that external suppliers meet defined quality requirements.
Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, stay informed of changes, and update quality processes accordingly.
Key Technical Criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Management
2. Proven supervisory experience in leading and managing teams, including training and mentoring staff.
3. Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and QMS implementation.
4. Strong knowledge of statistical process control and quality improvement tools.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement projects and manage cross-functional teams
This role can be based in Newcastle, Brisbane or Sydney.
