About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Scrub/Scout or Perioperative Clinical Nurse specialising in Orthopaedics to join our team. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. This role is suited to RN's that can work AM and PM shifts. You should also be able to support and work weeknight and weekend on call and be confident with staff supervision

As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:
· Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred
· Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
· Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
· Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
· Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
· Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
Essential Criteria:
· Current AHPRA registration
· Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in orthopaedic operating theatres
· Desirable: experience/certification in Robotics procedures
