Overview
Steer and assist Managers, Supervisors and staff in the delivery of people focused initiatives and services that drive engagement including industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing, employee engagement and learning and development.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on complex employee relations matters to support an effective and efficient delivery of corporate objectives.
* Ensure the human resources function operates efficiently and all processes are accurate and legally compliant.
* Oversee the learning and development program for the business in line with organisational strategic and operational needs.
* Maintain and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement of services and business processes.
* Participate in and/or coordinate a range of HR projects and initiatives.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum Diploma level qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience leading and developing team members and creating a positive people focused and business outcomes driven culture.
* Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to human resources management.
* Proven ability to deliver people focused initiatives and services that drive engagement including change management, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing and engagement and learning and development.
* Effective collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to engage and partner with key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
* Ability to relate to and communicate with people at all levels to navigate complex change initiatives, drive engagement and achieve a positive workplace culture.
* Commitment to transparent, people focused and data driven decision making and with a proven ability to provide advice that is timely, respectful and fair.
* Local Government preferred with a Full Drivers licence.
