About the opportunity
As a result of continued growth and success in our Early Childhood Education programs, the Faculty of Education has exciting opportunities available across academic levels A (Associate Lecturer) and B (Lecturer).
As an Associate Lecturer, you will inspire student learning, design learning activities and pioneer innovative teaching methods under the guidance of senior academics. Your aim will be to foster student growth and outcomes.
As a Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact our students’ learning experiences through student-centred teaching practices, the development of engaging programs and course materials and innovative curriculum design. You will also undertake research and/or engagement activities that align with the Faculty’s existing and emerging priorities.
About you
We are seeking innovative and progressive early to mid-career academics with experience in teaching at a tertiary level in early childhood education using active learning and flexible approaches to teaching, including online.
At an Associate Lecturer level, you will actively contribute to the Faculty through student centred teaching practice and development, whilst contributing to the research and profile of the Faculty through their publications and undertake relevant engagement and service activities.
At a Lecturer level, you will have expertise in leading and undertaking design, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and resources that support and enhance the effectiveness of student learning.
Research and/or leadership experience that supports positive outcomes for the unique challenges faced by international students and experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative work-integrated-learning experiences for ECEC students would be advantageous but not essential.
Salary and benefits
We have multiple full-time, fixed-term (24 months) positions at Academic levels A or B, based at our Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour campuses. Generous relocation support is available to those relocating to commence the appointment:
* Academic Level A: $78,287 – $105,224 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $123,112.
* Academic Level B: $110,611 – $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
