About the role
Eastern Health is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Grade 3 Physiotherapist to lead and innovate clinical practice and service delivery in physiotherapy services within the emergency department & across general medical services at Box Hill Hospital.
This unique role affords opportunity to continue to develop and shape the future of emergency & general medicine physiotherapy service provision through strong leadership, comprehensive staff support and delivery of outcome-based service initiatives.
In this position, team leadership of the acute general medicine physiotherapy service incorporates Grade 1 and 2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and Physiotherapy students aligned to the clinical stream.
Engagement in clinical research, project engagement and professional development are strongly encouraged and facilitated via regular supervision and leadership from the Clinical Grade 4 Physiotherapists within the Aged & Complex Care stream. Further engagement is encouraged with the broader clinical Grade 4 physiotherapists across clinical streams.
Opportunity to engage in multidisciplinary quality improvement work to improve broader clinical service within the emergency and acute medicine areas.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Essential
* Recognised tertiary qualification in relevant discipline.
* Current registration Australian Physiotherapy Board
* Eligibility for Membership of Professional Association.
* Relevant post graduate qualifications, or commencement thereof
* Relevant clinical and leadership experience.
* Extensive clinical experience and/or post-graduate qualifications in the appropriate specialised field e.g. musculoskeletal, neurology, gerontology, respiratory management, or progression towards these with a commitment to their completion.
* Experience in supervision of staff and students.
* Experience in leadership of staff, including professional development and supervision.
* Experience in clinical education of staff and students.
* Experience in delivering innovative practice.
* Excellent team integration skills.
* Sound knowledge of community organisations and networks.
Desirable
* Membership of Australian Physiotherapy Association(s) and other professional bodies within field of practice.
* At least 7 years of experience within the Physiotherapy profession.
Leadership / participation in significant clinical research & international / national publications and conference presentations
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
