About the role
The Mental Health Access Team Manager reports to the Director of Nursing and Operations GV Health Mental Health & Wellbeing and will be responsible for the operational and clinical management of the GV Health Mental Health Triage, GV Health PACER, GV Health Acute Response and the GV Health Mental Health Nurse located at the Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie and Moira Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Local.
The Mental Health Access Team Manager is critical in overseeing the quality Mental Health Service for people who require acute assessment and care from GV Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Services both in the community and GV Health Emergency Department setting. This position is pivotal in supporting the development of successful relationships between acute mental health services, consumers and their families ensuring appropriate and timely access to mental health treatment, care and support.
Providing senior level clinical support, professional supervision and operational management for multi-disciplinary mental health clinicians is key function of this role. Other key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on the Mental Health Access team service activity and ensure the Mental Health Service is delivered within the parameters and principles of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act (2022) and relevant legislation.

The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to priority positions across state funded mental health services in rural and regional Victoria.

We are looking for:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist.
* Registered Psychiatric Nurses must: have postgraduate qualifications or equivalent in Mental Health
* Occupational Therapists must: be eligible for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
* Psychologists must: be eligible to be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia in accordance with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009
* Social Workers must: be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* A minimum of 5 years clinical experience post obtainment of relevant qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical consultation and education to other service providers.
* Excellent leadership skills to ensure a positive culture is maintain within the teams
* Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution strategies.
