The Opportunity
Based at Arndell Park depot, Grasshopper Skips are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator. The key focus of this role is accountable for driving and continually developing the coordination of all transport movements through effective and efficient decision making, resulting in a process that meets contractual requirements and logistical challenges this includes the productive allocation of services.
* Full Time Permanent Position
* Ensure all fleet vehicles and staff are compliant and all activities are aligned with Cleanaway’s policies and procedures
* Manage GPS tracking systems and route sequencing to ensure optimum utilisation of fleet, identify and rectify faults
* Verifying and meeting established deadlines through management
* Coordinate daily schedules to support customer requirements and intercompany transfers of waste
* Communicate the planning of fleet activities to all internal stakeholders to ensure plant operation is optimized and supported on a daily basis
* Undertake any other duties, accountabilities and responsibilities as directed
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have the following and ideally you will have experience in transport or logistics, waste industry would be advantageous!!
* Intermediate experience with the MS Office Suite of products
* Knowledge and management of GPS tracking systems
* Knowledge of Kronos, MyOsh & VRP an advantage.
* Strong communication & customer service skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent coordination & negotiation skills
* Some flexibility available
* Good attitude, reliable and willing to learn different systems and different runs
* Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential
