Legal Secretary | Business Services (Brisbane)We are seeking a motivated Legal Secretary to join our highly respected Business Services team on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension. Based in our Brisbane Head Office, you will predominantly be responsible for assisting with team administrative tasks, fostering client relationships and assisting the team with business development opportunities through event planning and management.The roleOur ideal candidate will have some experience in a general administration in a professional services environment or a legal secretary role. Accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism will be essential in this role, as you will be working closely with the team’s Principal to manage costs and business development activities for the team.Other duties will include:File opening and management;Assisting with debtor management;Credit card reconciliation;Typing transcripts and dictations;Managing end of month billing;Payment of invoices and financial auditing reports.Business Development:You will act as the main point of contact to organise and assist the team in sourcing business development activities.Event Management:You will be responsible for event planning and execution for the team's requirements including but not limited to:Arrange domestic travel requirements;Coordinate, analyse and track expenditure budget;Plan, create and execute engaging events for clients.Role requirementsHigh attention to detail and organisational skills.Confidence in building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.Outstanding time management and a strong commitment to consistency.A natural inclination for taking initiative.A self-starter but also thrives in a collaborative work environment.Familiarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous, although not necessary.About McInnes Wilson LawyersWith our 50-year milestone approaching in 2025, we are a full-service firm with 55 principals providing high quality legal advisory services across Australia.
