About the role We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager/Coordinator based at our depot in West Footscray, Vic due to growth in our operations.
The ideal candidate will:
Have responsibility for the development and effectiveness of all HSEQ requirements of MIEPOL. Design and implement an effective performance culture across the company in accordance with MIEPOL HSEQ policies and procedures and Zero Harm philosophy. Develop and implement capability and system effectiveness to ensure all hazards and risks are effectively reported, analysed and controls are continuously improved so far as is reasonably practicable. Lead and participate in meetings, training and other HSEQ activities as required. About You Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with a customer service focus. Tertiary qualification in Business Management / Employee Relations / HSEQ or related fields. Have a track record in achieving business results, improving efficiencies, developing highly performing teams and driving accountability for delivering business outcomes. Minimum 10 Years leadership and operational experience in a Senior ER / HSEQ role or similar. Experience in developing strategic HSEQ plans and maintaining HSEQ certifications. Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to write and implement strategies, business plans and proposals. High level problem solving, analytical, negotiation and performance management skills. Maintains focus and clarity when working under pressure. Positive, enthusiastic and outcomes focused. The ability to develop employee capability at all levels in the organisation. Excellent leadership and team building skills. Salary will be based on experience.
